The Banyan Brain Trauma Indicator, which was approved in February 2018 by the FDA as a quick tool to evaluate concussion or mild traumatic brain injury, does not replace clinical concussion examinations. Researchers agree that while the test is a step in the right direction, the risks associated with potential misunderstanding of this “blood concussion test” currently outweigh the benefits. Link
