Three New U.S. Patents Awarded to NKI
NKI has been awarded three new patents by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for innovations related its burgeoning portfolio of eye tracking technology, bringing its total patent count up to 22. Among these latest is protection for unique aspects of NKI’s I-PAS™ design — a highly portable device for oculomotor testing involving clinically sensitive eye tracking. Looking similar to a virtual reality headset, the new design is just as easy to put on. After years of use for clinical investigations, FDA clearance is now pending for commercial use of I-PAS as a nystamograph, while concussion-related testing will still be investigational.
